The Traveler's Prayer
I'm going on a journey, Lord,
As I go, may I somehow spread Your Word,
Here before me lies opportunity,
And within my heart lives the power that brings serenity,
God, please send someone my way,
Here I dedicate to You all the hours of my day.
Sit me next to someone who needs to hear,
And teach me to share the right things without fear,
Use every minute of every layover,
I'm not adequate, so send Your Spirit to cover.
What do I really need to do during these hours?
Nothing; so Father, I devote them to seeing Your power.
I ask not that I come back to this place,
No, I only pray that I will share Your grace.
That is my prayer, oh, Lord,
Yes, that I may share Your Word.
